C-Display VAM25, is an aluminium display system designed and produced for the Festival of Architecture, VAM, Vivere A-Metropolitano, on show at the Ex Teatro Verdi in Ferrara, during the talk day on 5 April 2025.

Context
VAM, Vivere A-Metropolitano is the first festival on the Italian and international province. From 31 March to 13 April 2025, starting from Ferrara, a series of talks, exhibitions, river tours, floating installations, workshops and lectio magistralis spread throughout the territory become an opportunity to explore its rarefied urbanity and amphibious landscape, to find in the ‘provincial’ dimension a possible resource, dropped into a specific scenario: the reality of the Italian province.
The initiative is organised by the HPO association and realised within the framework of Vivere A-Metropolitano: architectures, ideas, landscapes in the province, supported by Festival Architettura - Edition 3, promoted by the General Directorate for Contemporary Creativity of the Ministry of Culture, with the patronage and contribution of the Municipality of Ferrara and the patronage of the Emilia Romagna Region.

C-DISPLAY VAM25
The C-DISPLAY VAM25 exhibition system returns the outcomes of the activities that took place during the days of the festival.
The name stands for Cyborg Display, inspired by the themes presented by the festival and the concept of ‘cyborg territory’, cited by Wu Ming 1 in his book ‘The Fish Men’, presented on previous dates.

The exhibition system
The exhibition system consists of a vertical and a horizontal element, both resulting from pre-existing structures used for different purposes and functions.
The vertical structure was transformed into a surface on which elements such as fabrics, drapes and flags could be projected and displayed.
The horizontal structure was reinforced and modified in order to accommodate 9 suspended shelves, on which virtual devices and material objects can be alternated.
When positioned in a dimly lit environment, the clear Plexiglas panels used for the tops of the horizontal display reflect the contents of the displays across the entire surface, amplifying the effect.
The folding aluminium structures are designed to be easily assembled, disassembled and easy to store, making it easier to set up and replicate the exhibition.
