TUBOO

With Tuboo, we wanted to change our point of view:

“How can techniques from the past meet current technologies and trigger rethinking processes that help us innovate production and reduce material waste?”.

Based on these considerations, the bench system was designed using the traditional Japanese technique of hot folding bamboo.
From a single metal tube, 6m long and 16cm in diameter, it’s possible to make the seat structure through simple cutting and bending, while minimising material waste.
The inner tubes have the same diameter as the outer tubes and act as structural nodes and guides for the bending. All components are made from a single tube.

Tuboo’s production technique allows the length of each bench to be easily adapted to the customer’s needs.

Customisation and accessories
The seating system is available in different types of metal, from stainless steel to aluminium, customizable in colour and finish.

Tuboo can be combined with various accessories, such as shaped cushions in different materials and colours, as well as seats and tables that are fixed directly to the main structure.

The bench system has space for a smart compartment that can be used for step lighting and charging electronic devices.

Tuboo can be adapted to meet every need. Thanks to its customisable length and wide range of accessories, you can create a variety of compositions tailored to your needs.
