Make Together

Plam designed the new brand identity of Make Together, a project financed by the Municipality of Ferrara and the Regione Emilia-Romagna. Make Together sees the three creative hubs of Ferrara, Consorzio Factory Grisù, Consorzio Wunderkammer and Laboratorio Aperto Ferrara, with Cooperativa il Raggio Verde and Basso Profilo, united in the creation of a network between different businesses, associations and public administrations.

The goal is to provide training and work opportunities for young people in an innovative way. Create a "playground" that offers a different experience compared to the traditional job search: participants can actively discuss, get involved, train and build their future through meetings and shared experiences together with the Make Together community.
The 4 main themes - humanistic professions, un-design, new media and sustainable innovation - are presented via talks, workshops, exhibitions and matching/recruiting meetings in a program of 3 years.
Plam oversaw the co-design of the brand identity, guiding the project team and its partners in the visual translation of the concept of "playground" to obtain the different graphic declinations of the communication campaign.
The playground concept is expressed through geometric lines that build basic shapes to recall the design of a real sports playing field, an environment, characterized by welcoming colours, where people feel themselves as part of a community, free from prejudice and open to the needs of its “players”. A way to discover new realities and working methods without the "stress" of the job research but by learning skills and listening to experiences directly from professionals.

In creating the project's brand, we chose to play with shapes and typography, declining the "M" and "T" of Make Together into a recognizable pictogram with a strong but inclusive design. Straight and curved lines, as in the rest of the graphics, come together in playful and friendly shapes. Posters, flyers and media communicate with each other, conveying a feeling of welcome and friendliness. All the information is summarised in the postcards or reported in the brochure, where dates, appointments, ideas, presentations and photos are organized in a dynamic and colourful way to make it easy to consult even at first glance.
