Poli Polo is a laboratory of innovation, prototyping and digital experimentation founded by Plam Studio at the spaces of Laboratorio Aperto Ferrara.
A space that enables businesses, professionals and citizens to develop projects in product design, graphic design, photography and exhibition design, by providing access to technology and expertise. A creative hub where people can experiment with and test their ideas, situated in the city centre, at Ex Teatro Verdi.

From pop-up to Lab
Plam Studio designed the brand identity and pop-up launch event for Polipolo, and oversaw the development and evolution of the workshop in subsequent years.
The pop-up event, including the structures, experiences and tools, was entirely curated and designed using the technology available at Polipolo.
The event featured four 'experimental zones' designed to showcase the new space's potential to visitors. These included a 3D printing zone, a photography zone, a virtual reality zone, and a research and development zone. The latter showcased Phylor s.r.l., a food supplement manufacturer specialising in dried mushrooms. In collaboration with Polipolo, Phylor has developed natural mycelium-based packaging.
During the pop-up event, visitors were invited to experiment with the available Polipolo technologies through a variety of activities. Afterwards, they could provide feedback to help Plam improve the services.
Polipolo was founded with the aim of providing everyone with the opportunity to develop innovative, all-round projects and offering them the chance to experiment and grow.
